Most people have 50’ reels. These are 3” in diameter. The run time for 50’ of film is about four minutes. Recollections will clean and lubricate your film, and combine your footage onto 400’ reels. Your film will be returned in better condition than when you left it. Then before we put your footage on a DVD, we remove blank or black sections, and if necessary we will lighten and perform some minor color correcting. If scene by scene color correcting is needed there is an additional hourly editting charge.
There is no additional charge for the first DVD. 1600 feet of 8mm/Super8m, or 3200 feet 16mm, will fit on a DVD. If total footage is more, there is a 29.99 charge for each additional required DVD.
If you would like to edit your footage yourself we can provide you with AVI files on a digital tape format or a hard drive. Please contact us to discuss.
To ensure the best quality we recommend that not more than 2 hours of video be placed on a single on a single DVD. If your video is more than 2 hours, additional DVD’s will be needed.
If you’d like to combine multiple tapes onto a single DVD, the total time of all tapes can not exeed 2 hours.
